Event Details

Come connect with members of the local community in a participative event to explore what might be in store for the next chapter of your life and work. The economic situation is revealing new opportunities to connect and support each other. Opportunities to engage with members of your community to share ideas and support have never been as important as they are now. 

 

The Community Conversations Project has created a workshop in two half-day sessions in which you'll:

- Contribute your skills and experience

- Participate in a dynamic discovery of your communities strengths

- Foster connections to build your network and share resources

 

When:             May 11th 8am – 12pm, and May 12th, 1pm – 5pm

Rachel Lyn Rumson

Rachel Lyn's consultancy focuses on nurturing a culture of generativity in organizational systems. She uses the choice-crisis continuum to achieve transformative results. She brings over 10 years of experience as an entrepreneur and process consultant to this work. She received her formal education in leadership and organizational development with Leadership Institute Seattle (LIOS), www.lios.org  in their masters of applied behavioral science program. Rachel Lyn is also serving as the Program Director for the Pacific Northwest organizational Development Network, (PNODN) www.pnodn.org.

 

Katharine Wismer

Katharine brings over 15 years experience as a training & organizational development professional, with a master's degree from Seattle University in Organization Systems Renewal (OSR), www.osr-nw.org. Katharine spent several years at The Boeing Company designing and facilitating leadership development training programs for all levels of management. Currently, she is involved with distance learning projects. Katharine is co-leader of ASTD Puget Sound Chapter Trainer's Special Interest Group, www.astdps.org. This group is holding quarterly virtual meetings using different platforms including MS Office Live and Adobe Connect Professional.

 

Kat Myers

Kat Myers is a graduate student at Antioch University Seattle working towards her Master's degree in Organizational Psychology, www.antiochsea.edu/academics/orgpsych/index.html.  She has spent over 10 years working in the health insurance industry at Regence Blue Shield where she gained experience in designing and implementing employee training programs. 

 

Iris Lemmer

Iris Lemmer’s career includes more than 20+ years in innovative human resources and organizational development experience. Iris has designed and led large-scale change initiatives in Microsoft, Kraft Foods, and Helene Curtis to help them evolve and improve organization performance. She has a passion for utilizing the spirit, knowledge, and transformative potential that resides within communities.  Iris is a founder of Sound Connections, a community-based organization that is focused on igniting positive change by linking people and their aspirations together to develop integrated solutions that create extraordinary outcomes, supporting Social Entrepreneurs, social innovation, and meaningful work.
